You and Hermes had met by chance, an odd one. It was a lovely day and you had been singing in the woods, the sound of nature surrounding you as a nearby river ran. Hearing crunches on leafs you turned to your side to see an interesting man looking at you. His eyes held a beautiful colour red, and the mark across his face stood out.
Hearing him clear his throat, you look up at him, "your voice is beautiful, what song did you sing may I ask?"
"Ah, it's f/s. I'm Y/n, who are you?" You asked feeling relaxed for some reason, his voice was soothing.
"Hermes, its a pleasure to meet you Y/n."
After that encounter he would visit you ever so often. You knew he was busy but you would be happy to simply see him when he could come. Your house was fairly secluded, there was just woods to every side and the nearest city was two hours away. He never mentioned what he did, but you never asked either, and so you assumed he would come so rarely because he lived far. You weren't far off.
You would sing, and he would bring his violin and play it. Always smiling and having fun. It was a funny mix, a god who followed a music script on point, and a human who came up with things on the spot. Perhaps that's what he enjoyed about your presence, you are free and adventurous. Your innocent nature in comparison to his made him fall for you.
As time grew, he started feeling nervous. He was happy to see you so happy, but at the same time, he felt anxious not being able to see you. He wanted to see you and hold you all the time. But he was needed, and coming to earth was time consuming, especially since he didn't want to leave you alone.
One afternoon, he asked you the same question as he did the previous times, "Y/n, why don't you move in with me, I could protect you." He asked a question but it didn't seem like a question and more of a demand but you overlooked it.
"It's okay, it's not like it's dangerous here, if anything I think it's safer here then the city." You continue cutting some vegetables, "besides I like the nature, and I've come to love the animals here."
Frowning at you he leans over the kitchen counter putting each hand next to your sides. Putting his chin onto your head he looks forward, "but then I would be able to see you more often."
Moving your head up as he looks down at your face, you smile at him sadly, "this is the last thing I have as a memory of him. I can't leave Hermes." Nodding his head he takes the knife from your hands as he suggests you rest and he helps out.
As he leaves you hug him goodbye. You put some wood in the chimney and make a cup of your favourite tea. Looking at the fire you remember your first love, the one who had made this house. He was an amazing man, however he was murdered. The only memory you had of him was this house, and Hermes knew that.
As he was walking away he looks behind him. He had fallen for you. At first he thought this feeling was because your voice was so beautiful, but as time went on he wanted to do everything for you. He wanted to be your everything as you were his. He loves you.
Having learned of why you treasured the house he felt jealous. He knew it was wrong, but he had to have you come out willingly. Smiling at the house, he also knew he wanted for you to cry in his arms, so he made a plan.
He had sat down a fair distance away, still being able to see the house. As he was looking, he saw three men walk to your door as he smiled.
Hearing a knock to the door you look confused, "did Hermes forget something?" you mutter. Opening the door slightly you see a foot slamming in through the crack. Looking up, you see a tall man with a grin looking at you. As he forces his way into the house, two other men stand behind him as they also let themselves in. "G-get out!" You yell, as you grab the metal rod you had near the chimney.
Walking up to you, he states how he won't harm you and to give all your valuables. As you started shaking you had failed to notice one of the men has made his way behind you, hitting you with the handle of his sword over your head.
As you where coming in and out of consciousness you hear a familiar voice yell. Looking up you see Hermes, "...Hermes?" Before you fell unconscious you heard terrified screams.
As he kills the men he had ordered to come and scare you he grits his teeth, how dare they hurt you. Glancing towards you his face turns to a smile, but at least he had you finally. Looking around his smile widens, you definitely won't be able to come back. The walls were covered in splatters of blood and the floor was drenched in blood.
Gently going to you, he kisses your forehead as he picks you up.

Waking up, you wince as you feel your head, feeling a bandage wrapped around your head. Looking around you notice you aren't in a familiar place.
"Good morning dear, how did you sleep?" Hermes smiled at you innocently, as you looked confused.
"Dear?"
Walking to you, he places the food onto the table on your side, "yes, dear."
"Hermes I'm confused what happened? There were men who came into my house and then everything else is a blur-"
"I killed them." He simply states, as he pours some tea into your cup and starts adding some sugar, just the way you like it.
"You are acting weird... I want to go home." Usually you didn't feel like this around him, but he felt so different right now.
"Did you know dear that once wood soaks up blood you won't get it out." He grins at you as your heart rate increased and you felt scared, "besides why go, when I can protect you and be by your side forever?"
Feeling his hand go up to your cheek you move away, "did, did you kill them...?"
He didn't say anything as he continued extending his arm towards you as he made his way onto the bed. Nearing to the edge you fall off the bed by accident as he sighs. Standing up you are ready to dash before you fall over.
Looking at your ankle, you see a chain.
"Dear you will hurt yourself like that." He picks you up and places you on his lap, "you should be happy we can be together forever dear~" He smiles as he kisses you on the lips and you tense up and try to push him away. Seeing your discomfort he stops and places you on the bed. Smiling at you he caresses your cheek "you are stuck with me now, Y/n".
